Welcome to My Personal Page
1 in 9 Canadian women will get breast cancer in their lifetime.
That’s why on Sunday, October 2nd, I will be participating in the 2016 Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure for my 10th consecutive year. This year I am running in memory of my Nan, who had been a survivor. I am also running again for a very sweet, courageous, beautiful woman named Wanda, who has fought and beat her battle. The money that I raise will help fund vital research, education and community support initiatives. This cause is very near and dear to my heart, and I hope I can count on your continued support.
Fundraising works. Investments in innovative research and education by the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation have led to progress in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care. As a result, mortality rates have decreased by 43% since the peak in 1986.
We are all in this together. Despite our successes, 67 women are still being diagnosed with breast cancer in Canada every day. Mothers, daughters, fathers, brothers, caregivers and friends; we will all be touched by breast cancer in our lifetime.
So please help me reach my fundraising goal and donate today. Together, we can help to create a future without breast cancer.
