Ruth's Runners

Welcome to our team’s Fundraising Page!

On Sunday, October 2nd, a team of both CBSA’ers and those who love CBSA’ers will be participating in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure.

Our team name is “Ruth’s Runners” and we will be running/walking in honour of CBSA’s own - Ruth Clarida-Borger.  Ruth’s positive outlook, courage and determination as she fights breast cancer is definitely something we should honour and celebrate.  And she will be at the event!

I’m inviting you to join “Ruth’s Runners” and be part of a movement in communities across the country that is honouring the lives of those touched by this disease, as well as creating a future without breast cancer for generations to come. There are many ways to participate – you can walk or run 1k or 5k, you can even bring a stroller or a dog, or donate in Ruth’s name.  And perhaps we will have some bacon and/or beer together after the race!

By working together as a team we can have fun, motivate each other, and most importantly, raise funds that will support life-saving breast cancer research and patient support.
We know she is loved by so many people and this is one way to show her we are rooting for her!

What can you do to help?

  1. Join our team – walk/run and fundraise. If you are able to join the team, once you’ve registered, you’ll receive lots of fundraising tools and tips to help you along, including the option to create a personalized fundraising campaign in honour of someone in your life who has been affected by breast cancer.  We’ll also send check-in emails with you along the way to see how your training and fundraising is progressing JAND/OR

  2. Donate - Every dollar we raise makes a difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer and their loved ones. Our team fundraising goal is $1500.

Thank you,

CMQ, Kirsten, Jen, Mireille and Patricia
