Welcome to Angie Brooks's personal page
On Sunday, October 1st, I will be participating in the 2017 Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure for my 19th year!! Breast cancer is a cause that deeply motivates me as I have lost too many friends my age to this disease.
I am excited to be contributing to Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s vision of creating a future without breast cancer. The money raised during the CIBC Run for the Cure helps to fund critical and groundbreaking research, education, and advocacy initiatives across the country. With an estimated 24,000 women and men diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, I am glad to be helping to change those statistics—but I need your help to do it.
You can make a difference too by supporting me in my fundraising efforts. Together, we can help support Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation funded researchers like Dr. Michelle Cotterchio. She is studying how dietary choices can reduce the risk of breast cancer and hoping to develop new strategies for prevention. Dr. Cotterchio is just one of many innovative researchers that we can help to make an impact on breast cancer by raising funds during the 2017 CIBC Run for the Cure. If you’d like to see more ways in which your support is making a difference, take a look Your Impact at www.cibcrunforthecure.com.
Please donate to me and support my fundraising efforts. Together, we can help to create a future without breast cancer.
