Welcome to Paul Lansbergen's personal page
I am proud to be back participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure - for my 13th year!
In addition to doing my usual fundraising, I continue to volunteer in organizing the Ottawa-Gatineau Run site. I will be helping to motivate and encourage our participants in their fundraising efforts. Volunteering is very gratifying. I am helping to make a difference and getting to know more passionate people along the way.
I am extremely grateful to my large circle of family, friends and business associates who have supported my fundraising efforts over the years. If you are back reading this, thank you for your continued support. For all my friends in the forest industry, I hope you will continue to support my involvement in this important cause.
As some of you know, life has changed quite a bit since last year. My employment status changed for the better. Back at the end of November I started as President, Fisheries Council of Canada. It is a great organization and sector with plenty of challenges - both good and bad. I am thoroughly enjoying my new role. At home, our pet family has undergone significant changes. Since January 2017 we have lost 4 pets due to old age and/or illness (Zahra, Scout, Molly and Highley). We went from 3 dogs and 3 cats down to one each (Gracie and Dakota). But just earlier this month we adopted a rescue dog. Snowy (2-yr old white husky mix) is integrating nicely but still needs a bit of training.
Please support my efforts to create a future without breast cancer. Every donation, of any size, is greatly appreciated. Thanks to all my past donors, we have raised some $90,000 in cumulative fundraising.
In loving memory of Mom! This month is 10 years since her passing.
