Welcome to My Fundraising Page
1 in 9 Canadian women will get breast cancer in their lifetime. My mother was one of these women, and for six years after diagnosis kept the cancer at bay. In 2010, she succumbed to the disease. It is in memory of my mother, and for all women (and men!) that may one day be diagnosed with breast cancer that I will be participating in the 2015 Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure on October 4th.
Check out the following link to read more about my story and why I participate in the Run:
The money that I raise will help fund vital research, education and community support initiatives, treatment and care. We have come a long way - mortality rates have decreased by 43% since the peak in 1986 - but there is so much more to be done, so that people can live without fear of this disease. Together, we can help to create a future without breast cancer.
Please consider making a donation to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, and thank you very much for any contribution you can make!
