1 in 4 (26%) cancers diagnosed in women in Canada are breast cancer

1 in 30 women in Canada will die from breast cancer

In Canada, the 5-year Survival (rate):88%

Fundraising works. Investments in innovative research and education by the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation have led to progress in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care.  As a result, mortality rates have decreased by 43% since the peak in 1986.

We are all in this together. Despite our successes, 67 women are still being diagnosed with breast cancer in Canada every day. Mothers, daughters, fathers, brothers, caregivers and friends; we will all be touched by breast cancer in our lifetime.

In 2015, an estimated 220 men in Canada will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Men with breast cancer make up 0.9 percent of all breast cancer cases, and 0.2 percent of all cancer cases in men. Breast cancer in men is not well understood, is stigmatized. Men diagnosed with breast cancer have an 80 percent likelihood of living for five years after their diagnosis.

In 2015, 60 Canadian men are expected to die from breast cancer.

So please support our team and donate today. Help us reach our fundraising goal!

Together, we can help to create a future without breast cancer.
